Maintenance Tech (Industrial Maintenance)

Location: Onsite work in a cold-storage warehouse environment; rotating 12-hour shifts, including day and night schedules.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems, evaporators, condensers, fire-protection systems, freezer doors, pallet-handling equipment, dock doors, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacement while minimizing operational downtime.
• Diagnose control systems, low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, and three-phase motors.
• Operate machine tools, cutting torches, and welding equipment to fabricate or repair machine parts, jigs, and fixtures.
• Monitor ammonia refrigeration performance and test fire suppression, fire alarm, and ammonia alarm systems according to local requirements.
• Coordinate downtime, warranty claims, supplier maintenance, spare parts, tools, and maintenance records with planners, system operators, and equipment suppliers.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyors, low-voltage and high-voltage 480V electrical systems, and three-phase motors.
• High school diploma or GED; an associate degree or equivalent training is applicable.
• Ability to lift 50 lb, work in a cold freezer environment, and climb a 120-foot ladder using a safety harness.
• Ability to wear SCBA equipment when required; clean-shaven status is required for SCBA use.
• Ability to safely use fall-protection equipment rated for a maximum combined capacity of 310 lb, including body weight, cold gear, SCBA pack, and tools.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with PLCs.
• Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.
