UX Content Strategist (Medical Devices)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; hybrid work with required on-site work at an hirify.global office. Ongoing U.S. travel is required at least once per quarter.

Annual base salary: $122,600–$161,075, with potential incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies for people with diabetes and other conditions.

What you will do

• Design tactical and innovation-focused UX initiatives for Omnipod Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Define safe, effective, and engaging experiences using wireframes, prototypes, GUI specifications, and production assets.
• Collaborate with marketing, product management, systems, software development, clinical, human factors, and user research teams.
• Work with technical integration partners to define UX requirements, API-related needs, and branding considerations.
• Present design concepts, prototypes, storyboards, and user experience vision to internal teams and customers.
• Develop UX standards, frameworks, design language, and processes across Omnipod product touchpoints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, computer science, HCI, industrial engineering, interaction design, design, human factors, or an equivalent field.
• At least 1 year of relevant UX and product design experience, including mobile applications or medical devices.
• Advanced knowledge of UX and development tools such as InVision, Balsamiq, Azure, Zeplin, Creative Cloud, Framer, Sketch, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of usability standards, design heuristics, responsive design, and Android and iOS interface guidelines.
• Experience with agile development tools and environments, including JIRA, Confluence, Helix, or Aha!
• Strong portfolio, storytelling, presentation, prototyping, cross-functional collaboration, and user research skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical devices or consumer wearables.
• Experience with prototype development and user research methodologies.
