UX/UI Designer

Location: 100% remote within the United States or onsite in Tysons Corner, Virginia

What you will do

• Design and conduct user research using design thinking methods.
• Translate research findings, user needs, feedback, and business requirements into actionable design tasks.
• Ideate features and create interfaces from low-fidelity wireframes through high-fidelity interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, engineers, product owners, business analysts, and product managers throughout the design process.
• Organize developer handoff files in Zeplin and support design system and style guide development.
• Maintain user-interface patterns and ensure implementations follow web standards, accessibility, and usability best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, with 2–4 years of related experience.
• Online portfolio demonstrating user research and UX/UI design skills.
• Experience with Sketch, InVision, Adobe Design Suite, or comparable design software.
• Knowledge of human-computer interaction, usability design, user research techniques, responsive web design, design systems, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG compliance, along with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and pass a federal background check.
