Principal UX Engineer (MedTech)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina. Hybrid workplace with a required minimum number of onsite days per week; travel to hirify.global and/or customer sites may be required. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Base salary: $104,000–$143,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Create user-friendly interface designs using hirify.global design patterns, W3C, Material Design, Apple Human Interface, and Android guidelines.
• Conduct customer interviews and user research to identify needs and inform product decisions.
• Create UI prototypes for testing and marketing purposes.
• Plan, moderate, and document usability studies, including test plans, scripts, and final reports.
• Document UX designs and specifications and provide recommendations to cross-functional teams.
• Communicate design intent through storyboards, user stories, workflows, wireframes, and visual designs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in Human Factors or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Axure, and Qt Design Studio.
• Advanced Figma skills, including components, variables, auto-layout, and themes.
• Strong understanding of UX design principles, prototyping, documentation, and design communication.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision in an Agile software development environment.
• Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements and work onsite for the required minimum number of days.

• Experience with medical devices or other regulated fields.
