Sr. SW Engineer - SDET (Fintech)

Location: US - Austin, TX; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $112,100–$173,400 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Interpret business and technical requirements, verify assumptions, and incorporate stakeholder feedback into designs and solution fixes.
• Participate in system design, architecture, estimation, code planning, documentation, and code reviews.
• Develop, implement, debug, and maintain software components using coding standards and best practices.
• Create test plans and configure testing procedures to identify and resolve defects across multiple features.
• Provide on-call support, troubleshoot production issues, and deploy fixes under guidance.
• Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance through ongoing training and use of developer tools.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java/J2EE and JavaScript.
• Experience or familiarity with Angular, Node.js, Spring, MySQL, and Linux.
• Experience with system design, debugging, troubleshooting, code reviews, coding standards, and test planning.
• Experience building and testing enterprise-scale web services and working across development, QA, automation testing, and production support.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as TestNG, Playwright, or Selenium WebDriver; experience mentoring junior engineers is also expected at the preferred level.
