Senior/Principal Automation Engineer - Secret Clearance Required

Location: Fully remote; US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are required

Salary: $100,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and own scalable test automation frameworks for web, Android, and Windows products.
• Build and evolve the organization-wide end-to-end testing stack in partnership with software teams.
• Develop agentic AI approaches for test design, automated test generation, and code review with human oversight.
• Create prototypes and reference implementations that enable Quality Engineers to adopt new frameworks and workflows.
• Translate product and program requirements into automation designs, quality strategies, standards, and metrics.
• Support Agile teams, collaborate with development and platform engineering, and drive adoption of reliable testing practices.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required; interim clearance is accepted under contract requirements.
• US citizenship required.
• At least 5 years of QA or Test Engineering experience, including ownership of test system design and automation frameworks.
• At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar.
• Experience with unit, integration, API, end-to-end, linting, and static analysis testing across multiple platforms.
• Strong Java and/or TypeScript/JavaScript development skills, CI/CD pipeline experience, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Appium, or comparable automation frameworks.
• Frontend, backend, or mobile development experience.
• Experience introducing tools or processes and driving adoption across engineering teams.
• Architect, Staff Engineer, or technical lead experience.
