What you will do

• Document, visualize, and articulate current and target enterprise architecture states across technology domains.
• Develop domain roadmaps with senior leadership and connect them to the broader enterprise technology landscape.
• Lead enterprise architecture governance and provide research-based recommendations for strategic decision-making.
• Partner with delivery teams and domain leaders across business, application, data, cloud, infrastructure, security, integration, operations, and support architecture.
• Research emerging technologies and translate the enterprise architecture vision into principles, standards, guidelines, and reusable patterns.
• Identify strategic technology opportunities, guide architecture oversight for major initiatives, and escalate risk-related issues when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or 13 years of combined higher education and relevant work experience without a degree.
• 9 or more years of experience developing and integrating applications using software architecture principles and patterns.
• Experience negotiating, influencing, and aligning senior technology and business leaders.
• Experience with architectural frameworks, enterprise architecture tools, and capability modeling.
• Background in software engineering, software delivery, and solution architecture.
• Work location: Buffalo, New York, United States of America.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree in business or a technical discipline.
• Cloud technology or vendor certifications and experience.
• Experience with Agile environments and enterprise architecture framework certifications.
• Financial services or banking experience, including banking, application, data, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and integration architecture.
• Experience driving innovation opportunities and presenting them to senior leadership.
