Software / Systems Architect Technical Specialist

Salary: $137,654.90–$239,355.16 annually

What you will do

• Define system requirements and mission value increments for multiple services with product owners and external stakeholders.
• Elicit, document, analyze, and validate user needs, service functionality, and complex system requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into end-to-end hardware and software specifications, including interfaces and supporting data repositories.
• Review requirements for software development, testing, and system installation teams.
• Work with mission partners, portfolio owners, account managers, and business analysts to align requirements across services.
• Support agile delivery using Kanban and Scrum, including Jira dashboard and cross-team content analysis.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, and the ability to maintain it.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience level aligned with BS 10–12 years, MS 8–10 years, or PhD 5–7 years; 15 years of experience is desired.
• Knowledge of enterprise data strategy, data governance, data stewardship, data architecture, data standards, and metadata management.
• Experience with full-lifecycle software development and translating requirements into designs involving web services, SOA, application integration, BI/data warehousing, ETL, data profiling, data mining, and metadata repositories.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Three years of experience in the Intelligence Community.
• Experience creating original concepts and theories for complex projects.
