Senior Associate, Finance & Strategy - G&A, Legal

Location: San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Seattle, WA; Tempe, AZ; Chicago, IL; or New York, NY. The role is expected to be primarily based in San Francisco or New York.

Salary: $104,700–$154,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Partner with Litigation, Legal Operations, Corporate Legal, and Product Legal leaders on long-term investment decisions.
• Build and track metrics covering outside counsel spend, in-house versus outside counsel mix, and Legal costs relative to company growth.
• Lead quarterly, annual, and long-range planning for the Legal organization and present recommendations and tradeoffs.
• Own monthly forecasting, variance analysis, and accrual support for legal spend, litigation, settlements, headcount, and vendors.
• Support the consolidated forecast for the broader G&A Finance team and improve planning models, systems, and AI workflows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in FP&A or a closely related finance role, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Experience building relationships with senior nonfinancial stakeholders and communicating complex analysis clearly.
• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with planning systems or data tools such as SQL.
• Experience using AI tools beyond basic chat, such as automating recurring reports or building reusable workflows.
• Ability to work primarily from San Francisco, CA, or New York, NY, with the role based in one of the listed U.S. locations.
