New Grad Software Engineer (Routing)

Location: Mountain View, California (HQ), United States

Base pay: $132,300–$198,450 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

A physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology and a universal autonomy platform for robotaxis, logistics fleets, and personal vehicles.

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship full-stack applications using React and TypeScript.
• Develop backend services and APIs integrating with vehicle systems, cloud infrastructure, and partner platforms.
• Build routing microservices, optimize routing algorithms, and work with road-network graphs.
• Develop C++ modules running onboard vehicles to generate routes, process live map updates, and interface with motion planning.
• Create fleet monitoring, vehicle health, routing analytics, and simulation tools.
• Own features end-to-end while collaborating with Product, UX, Operations, and engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, completed or in progress; new graduates and early-career candidates are welcome.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and either web fundamentals or server-side programming.
• Experience through coursework, internships, or personal projects with React and TypeScript or real-time server-side systems.
• Ability to build and consume RESTful or gRPC APIs, with familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Some exposure to cloud infrastructure such as GCP or AWS and comfort working across the stack.
• Work location: Mountain View, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time data systems, WebSockets, Pub/Sub, or streaming pipelines.
• Familiarity with Protocol Buffers, gRPC, Thrift, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of routing algorithms, map data, or graph data structures.
• Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, logistics, or automotive systems.
• Experience with partner APIs or frontend platform tools such as design systems and shared component libraries.
