Software Developer - Full Stack (Work Management Software)

Location: Hybrid from an hirify.global office in Cedar Rapids, IA; Lake Saint Louis, MO; or Mandan, ND. At least three days per week must be worked from an office, including Tuesday and Wednesday.

What you will do

• Design and build responsive web applications for work management.
• Develop RESTful web services using container-driven development, Kubernetes, and microservices.
• Research, design, and implement features with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze and resolve customer issues and software defects.
• Write unit and integration tests and follow established development methodologies.
• Prototype intelligent agent-based features and use generative AI tools to improve workflows and productivity.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript or GWT, plus Java or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Knowledge of responsive development, performance optimization, modern software architecture, and deployment patterns.
• Experience with automated unit, integration, contract, or end-to-end testing, Git workflows, and test-driven development.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka, and SSO.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Experience using agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Augment, JetBrains Junie, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex.
