Manager II - Engineering - Major Projects Group (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote with up to 25% travel; candidates must hold valid, independent U.S. work authorization.

Salary: $147,232–$213,486 per year

What you will do

• Lead and manage high-voltage project engineering teams through coaching, training, mentoring, and performance goal setting.
• Oversee safe, economical utility-scale engineering designs from project award through completion.
• Standardize designs and ensure compliance with company requirements, building codes, safety regulations, NEC, and IEEE standards.
• Guide complex energy park projects involving electrical interconnections, studies, solar, substations, transmission, and power plant design.
• Coordinate engineering with estimating, supply chain, construction, vendors, owners, and outside firms, including material takeoffs and equipment reviews.
• Recruit and hire electrical engineering talent, develop team capabilities, and identify efficiency and waste-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
• At least 10 years of progressive engineering experience and at least 3 years of leadership experience in energy, construction, utilities, high-voltage, or power generation.
• Strong supervisory, communication, organizational, scheduling, planning, and prioritization skills.
• Working knowledge of equipment applications, accounting, record-keeping, confidential information, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
• Valid, independent U.S. work authorization is required; H-1B visa and permanent residency sponsorship are not available.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Eligibility to become a qualified individual for company contract licensing.
