Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison (Immunology and Gene Therapy)

Location: Sacramento, California, USA; eligible for hire in select U.S. locations. Field-based role requiring approximately 70% travel with overnight stays.

Salary: USD 230,000–267,000 per year.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary medical point of contact for the assigned geographic area and scientific expert in gene therapy and recurrent respiratory papillomatosis.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with otolaryngology and gene therapy KOLs, healthcare practitioners, professional societies, clinics, and treatment centers.
• Lead compliant scientific peer exchange on the company pipeline, clinical protocols, trial outcomes, standards of care, and unsolicited medical information requests.
• Develop KOL engagement, territory, account, and patient-care-pathway profiles, including pre-launch activities.
• Support clinical trial sites, investigators, advisory boards, investigator-sponsored trial proposals, medical meetings, congresses, and scientific booth activities.
• Provide internal medical support, clinical input, training, and insights from external scientific interactions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA.
• MSL track: at least 2 years of MSL experience, including at least 1 year in rare disease, oncology, or immunology, with working knowledge of gene therapy.
• Senior MSL track: at least 5 years of pharmaceutical experience and 3 years in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.
• Prior product launch experience, strong scientific and clinical acumen, and excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills.
• Ability to interpret and present complex scientific, clinical, value, and evidence data to KOLs, payers, and formulary committees.
• Ability to travel frequently, approximately 70%, including overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Cell and gene therapy experience.
• Working knowledge of recurrent respiratory papillomatosis standards of care.
• Experience sharing scientific content with payer systems.
• Knowledge of NCI Cooperative Groups and Oncology Research Consortia.
