What you will do

• Lead design reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, safety reviews, and design validation throughout the new product development process.
• Define and execute verification and validation plans aligned with product requirements and regulatory standards.
• Assess engineering changes, manufacturing documentation, design-for-manufacturability considerations, and production quality controls.
• Represent quality requirements in cross-functional teams and coordinate risk tracking, corrective actions, quality gates, and CAPA activities.
• Support supplier 8D responses, review corrective action evidence, and analyze pre-production build data and test failures.
• Report validation status, quality risks, metrics, and corrective action progress to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Development, Human Factors Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience involving design verification and validation, preferably in consumer goods.
• Hands-on experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, design reviews, engineering change management, and verification and validation methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other functions.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-volume, rapid new product development cycles in consumer goods.
• Familiarity with supplier quality processes, including PPAP and incoming quality controls.
• Exposure to human factors engineering or usability validation methods.
• Ability to travel to manufacturing sites or supplier facilities.
