First Dedicated Data Science Hire (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto, CA or New York City, NY; four days in the office, plus three remote flex days per quarter after the first three months.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity and commission.

hirify.global is building an AI-native social operating system for commerce, helping brands develop relationships with communities through social interactions, recommendations, and personalized experiences.

What you will do

• Build core analytics products, including an Earned Media Value metric, multi-touch attribution models, and commerce platform integrations.
• Partner with Engineering to improve data structure, retrieval, reporting efficiency, and data foundations.
• Develop trend-forecasting algorithms and analytical models using proprietary datasets.
• Define and standardize proprietary metrics that influence how consumer brands go to market.
• Translate data science models into production-ready code in collaboration with Product and Software Engineering.
• Provide technical leadership for the Data Desk initiative and support public reports used for customer acquisition.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of data science experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Advanced Python and expert SQL skills, with strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready code independently.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical and public-facing audiences.
• Comfort working with ambiguity, fast execution, and rapidly changing domain requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with social media ecosystems, influencer platforms, or creator economy tools such as CreatorIQ or Meta.
• Experience working with large, unstructured text, media, or social network datasets.
• Technical writing experience for external reports, blog posts, or research summaries.
