Retirement Onboarding Specialist (New Plans) (401(k))

Location: Denver, CO — hybrid, with expected office attendance approximately 2–3 days per week

Salary: $26.84–$32.21 per hour in Denver

What you will do

• Manage new enterprise and starter 401(k) plans from signing through activation and first contribution processing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors and administrators through email, phone, and video.
• Guide employers through setup dashboards, proactively prevent onboarding delays, and keep plans on track for their start dates.
• Monitor activation, readiness, CSAT, and response-time benchmarks across a high-volume book of business.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Legal to resolve setup issues and align client expectations.
• Share client feedback with Product and leadership, maintain current 401(k) regulatory knowledge, and use AI tools to improve workflows and communications.

Requirements

• 4+ years of total work experience, including 3+ years in client-facing implementation, account management, or technical onboarding.
• Experience managing a large, active book of business while balancing competing priorities.
• Deep knowledge of SaaS, Operations, or Finance.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and case management and collaboration tools.
• Strong communication skills across email, phone, and video, with a client-first approach.
• Ability to identify and escalate setup or compliance issues; familiarity with 401(k) plans, ERISA requirements, payroll systems, RPS, or CRPS is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Startup or financial services experience.
• 401(k) or retirement plan administration experience.
• RPS or CRPS designation, or active pursuit of either.
