Benefits Consultant Senior—Retirement

Location: In-office in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH

Base salary: $40,000–$106,250 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Provide consulting and administrative support for 401(k), pension, and other qualified retirement plans.
• Analyze retirement plan data, identify trends, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop actionable recommendations.
• Support distributions, compliance testing, day-to-day plan administration, and regulatory filings.
• Review discrimination testing results and assist with Form 5500 preparation and review.
• Partner with clients, internal stakeholders, and outsourced benefits vendors to resolve issues and maintain operational compliance.
• Research, evaluate, and administer employee benefits, wellness, and work-life programs in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience; a bachelor's degree is typically expected.
• Experience in retirement services, retirement plan administration, or a Third-Party Administrator environment.
• Strong knowledge of 401(k) plans, pension plans, distributions, discrimination testing, and retirement plan compliance.
• Experience with Form 5500 reporting and related regulatory requirements.
• Advanced Excel, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and client-facing communication skills.
