Danish Translation & Localization Specialist (Gaming)

Location: Remote within the United States; core coverage hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with availability required during those hours when Pacific Time coverage is needed.

Salary: $33.65–$43.25 USD per hour for candidates based in Washington State; midpoint $38.45 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Translate and localize gaming and technical content from English into Danish.
• Support game releases, marketing materials, knowledge-base articles, and other customer-facing communications.
• Review localized content for accuracy, cultural relevance, grammar, terminology, tone, and style.
• Manage short-term and long-term translation projects, deadlines, changing priorities, and last-minute updates.
• Use computer-assisted translation tools, terminology databases, and translation memory to maintain workflow consistency.
• Collaborate with translators, reviewers, project teams, and stakeholders while staying current with gaming terminology, platforms, hardware, and player communities.

Requirements

• Native-level written and verbal Danish proficiency with exceptional command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Professional translation or localization experience, preferably involving gaming or technical content.
• Experience with computer-assisted translation tools such as Crowdin, memoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados, Wordfast, or similar platforms.
• Strong organization, prioritization, time-management, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Passion for PC or console gaming.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, software development, game design, distribution platforms, game genres, and online gaming communities.
• Knowledge of gaming hardware and platform ecosystems.
