Plant Controller (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Partner with plant and Finance leaders on financial and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance reviews.
• Analyze labor, material usage, yield, scrap, downtime, productivity, inventory, and other manufacturing drivers.
• Lead product costing, standard costs, cost modeling, variance analysis, and cost-to-serve analysis.
• Evaluate capacity, staffing, sourcing, inventory, productivity, manufacturing process, and capital investment decisions.
• Maintain internal controls, ERP and product-costing records, reconciliations, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
• Lead and develop the plant Finance team while supporting continuous improvement, automation, dashboards, and cross-functional standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of manufacturing operations finance or accounting leadership experience.
• Experience with costing, budgeting, forecasting, inventory accounting, controls, and capital evaluation.
• People leadership experience and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills, including inventory, costing, reconciliations, and account review.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, change-management, and continuous-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA certification and a master’s degree.
• Oracle, business intelligence, visualization, reporting automation, or manufacturing systems experience.
• Lean, Kaizen, World Class Operations, food packaging, paperboard, converting, or related manufacturing experience.
