Senior Staff Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $203,000–$274,500 per year in Mountain View. Additional compensation may include a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end design of QuickBooks Capital lending products, from problem framing through launch and iteration.
• Design how term loans, lines of credit, marketplace offerings, revenue-based financing, and new products appear across invoices, payroll, banking, and cash-flow workflows.
• Partner with product and data science teams to shape experiments, interpret activation, application, approval, and drop-off data, and decide what to build next.
• Advance lending design patterns and systems so products can be shipped consistently and efficiently.
• Explain design rationale to product and engineering partners, mentor designers, and raise the quality bar through critique and shared standards.
• Use AI to prototype and explore ideas, while designing hirify.globalive, transparent, and trustworthy AI-powered lending experiences and recommendations.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of product design experience, preferably with large-scale consumer or small-business products.
• Experience owning a product area from problem framing through launch and iteration.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, fluency with design systems, and a portfolio demonstrating user-centered design mastery.
• Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data, design experiments, interpret results, and identify when research is needed.
• Ability to communicate ideas through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping, and to collaborate with Design, Product Management, and Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into the design workflow.
