Director, Solutions Architecture (Healthcare)

Location: United States; remote-first with about 10% travel. Travel to Boston, Massachusetts may be required for new-hire onboarding and occasional in-person team meetings and company events.

Salary: $196,000–$215,000 annually, plus benefits and bonus.

What you will do

• Manage a team of eight Solution Architects, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Set standards for solution design, client guidance, BRD/FRD documentation, and future-state workflow design.
• Own escalations involving contested designs, technical feasibility, or conflicts with commercial commitments.
• Balance account assignments and workload as implementations scale.
• Partner with Solution Owners, Forward Deployed Engineers, Platform Configuration, QA, and Technical Program Managers to align solution design with delivery timelines.
• Represent Solution Architecture in cross-functional planning and executive-level client discussions; create training materials, templates, and playbooks.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or similar client-facing technical roles.
• Significant healthcare experience, including deep knowledge of payer operations, utilization management, or prior authorization.
• 3+ years of direct technical team management experience.
• Familiarity with complex, mission-critical platforms such as claims or utilization management systems.
• Strong technical judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Experience combining hands-on technical depth with people leadership and executive stakeholder communication.
