Enterprise Architecture Director – US Employer

Location: Bloomfield, Connecticut, United States; occasional or permanent work from home may be available with a cable broadband or fiber connection meeting the stated speed requirements.

Annual salary: USD 169,700–282,900, depending on experience and geographic location; annual bonus and long-term incentive plan eligibility may also apply.

What you will do

• Shape enterprise architecture across the US Employer business portfolio, connecting strategy, capabilities, information, applications, platforms, and operations.
• Develop target-state architectures, capability roadmaps, reference patterns, transition paths, and investment priorities.
• Align Enterprise Architecture, Technology, Product, Data, Operations, and business stakeholders around dependencies, trade-offs, and sequencing.
• Guide modernization, platform consolidation, integration, automation, AI enablement, resilience, and technical debt reduction.
• Establish reusable enterprise patterns, architecture guardrails, governance practices, and decision-support artifacts.
• Coach architects and engineers while influencing executive stakeholders and driving adoption across a matrixed organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or architecture.
• Demonstrated enterprise architecture experience delivering target-state architectures, capability maps, standards, patterns, and multi-year roadmaps.
• Experience influencing enterprise decisions and delivering cross-functional outcomes across multiple business lines and technology teams.
• Knowledge of capability, application, platform, integration, data, cloud, security, resilience, automation, AI, and architecture governance practices.
• Strong executive communication, strategic thinking, decision-making, influence, ambiguity management, and mentoring skills.
