PCB Design Librarian III (Aerospace)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. The role requires U.S. citizenship or nationality, permanent residence, or lawful admission as a refugee or asylee.

Base pay: $104,027.00–$145,637.10 per year for California and Washington applicants; other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain corporate eCAD component libraries, including schematic symbols, footprints, and component data.
• Create PCB layouts and documentation in Altium Designer, including Gerbers and fabrication and assembly drawings.
• Design common circuit blocks and support high-performance, high-reliability aerospace PCB development.
• Troubleshoot layout issues and contribute design artifacts and DFM, DFA, and DFT assessments to reviews.
• Improve PCB development procedures and checklists while collaborating with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers.
• Review the work of internal and external layout resources and mentor junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience creating and maintaining PCB part libraries, including schematic symbols and footprints.
• Adjacent PCB layout and design experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• Expert proficiency with Altium Designer Pro, 365, or Enterprise.
• Experience with IPC-6012 Class 3, IPC-7352, PCB constraint management, HDI boards, fine-pitch BGA, microvias, blind and buried vias, and impedance-controlled nets.
• Experience with high-speed, high-power, and high-density interconnect design, signal integrity, power delivery, thermal management, and mechanical constraints.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• PCB design certification, AAS in PCB Design, or BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• CID, CIS, or CSE certification.
• Experience with Siemens Valor, Siemens HyperLynx, Git, AWS GovCloud, Python, Perl, DelphiScript, or PCB design automation tools.
• Exposure to AI tools for PCB library and design automation.
