Specialist, Design (PCB Design)

Location: Onsite in Rochester, New York, United States. Work schedule: 9/80, with every other Friday off.

Salary: $69,500–$128,500 per year.

What you will do

• Design printed circuit boards for space-based applications and avionics systems using Siemens Xpedition CAD.
• Produce and release PCB layout files, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical CAD data to create layouts according to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with ECAD design teams, engineering customers, and mechanical design engineers.
• Ensure layout accuracy, mechanical correctness, IPC Class 3 compliance, and adherence to company design and fabrication guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or at least 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience creating PCB layouts with ECAD tools.
• Experience with military, airborne, or space PCB design technologies and layout techniques.
• Experience interpreting electrical schematics.
• Ability to work onsite in Rochester, New York.
• Some positions may require the ability to obtain a security clearance; clearances may be limited to U.S. citizens.

• BluePrint experience.
• Knowledge of Cadence Allegro, Altium, or PADS.
