IMM Discovery Intern (Immunology)

Location: Spring House, Pennsylvania, United States. The internship runs from May 17 through August 6, 2027. Lab-based work is onsite; non-lab work follows a hybrid model with three onsite days and two remote days per week.

What you will do

• Complete a defined experimental or computational research project within an active immunology discovery program.
• Design and execute analyses involving disease biology, therapeutic targets, mechanisms of action, and drug development research.
• Apply relevant technologies such as ELISA, PCR, DNA sequencing, flow cytometry, cell culture, cell-based assays, and single-cell RNA sequencing analysis.
• Collect and analyze data, maintain experimental records, review scientific literature, and troubleshoot research activities.
• Collaborate in department, cross-functional, and global matrixed team meetings.
• Prepare abstracts or posters and present findings at an organization-wide research symposium.

Requirements

• Permanently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college throughout the internship and not graduating before, during, or after the program.
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least six semesters or equivalent quarters at program start; graduate students must pursue a master's, PharmD, Physician Assistant, PhD, or another clinical-related degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and enrollment in biology, cell or molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, clinical pharmacology, computational biology, precision medicine, or a related field.
• Available to work full time, 40 hours per week, for the entire internship.
• Fluent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Leadership or participation in campus or service programs.
• Experience with Slack and Microsoft business applications, including Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word.
