Sr. IT Make Engineer - Circulatory Restoration (MedTech)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States of America; onsite role supporting the Santa Clara manufacturing site

Base pay: $91,000–$147,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain integrated IT/OT architectures connecting industrial systems with corporate IT platforms.
• Secure connectivity between PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES, historian, and corporate systems using network zones and conduits aligned with ISA/IEC-62443.
• Apply industrial cybersecurity practices, including system hardening, access control, patching, vulnerability management, firewalls, DMZs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and application whitelisting.
• Provide advanced L3 support for shop-floor IT/OT/MES issues, document incidents and configurations, and monitor manufacturing data quality and KPIs.
• Coordinate issue resolution and corrective actions with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement teams, and vendors.
• Lead plant technology modernization, lean initiatives, proof-of-concept evaluations, configuration changes, system releases, and productivity projects across Santa Clara, Minnesota, and Costa Rica sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer or software engineering, electronics, automation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing IT environment, including 2 years supporting IT/OT/MES applications.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs, VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Experience with industrial platforms such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS, historian, and MES.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; FDA-regulated and Agile/Scrum experience is preferred.
