Systems Engineer I

Location: Remote within the United States only; schedule is 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. EST, Monday–Friday.

Salary: $68,000–$75,000 annually.

What you will do

• Create and maintain user accounts, security access, permissions, client workgroups, and domains.
• Monitor server performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and escalate complex problems.
• Install server software, apply security patches, update applications, and remove unused software.
• Perform backups and preventative maintenance for client systems.
• Resolve user connectivity issues and support client hardware and operating systems.
• Educate users, assist with equipment installations and minor repairs, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Requirements

• Applicants must be located in the United States.
• Associate degree required.
• Two years of experience in networking or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of systems administration, server maintenance, connectivity troubleshooting, security updates, and technical procedures.
• Strong customer communication, documentation, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following company and customer procedures.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology.
• A+ certification or OEM equipment certifications.
• Microsoft certifications.
• Familiarity with ASTEA.
