Program Manager - AI Governance

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of the divisional AI Governance Program using MISMO FRAME.
• Own the AI governance operating model, including roles, decision rights, approval authorities, escalation paths, exceptions, and evidence requirements.
• Administer the AI use-case lifecycle from intake and inventory through risk classification, approval, monitoring, reassessment, and retirement.
• Develop risk-tiering methodologies and AI-specific controls covering consumer impact, regulatory exposure, data sensitivity, explainability, autonomy, and third-party dependencies.
• Coordinate independent challenge across Legal, Compliance, Fair Lending, Privacy, Information Security, Data Governance, Enterprise Risk, Model Risk, and Vendor Management.
• Produce governance KPIs and KRIs, maintain audit and examination readiness, and provide reporting and subject-matter expertise to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, information systems, technology, data science, finance, law, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of program management experience in enterprise governance, technology risk, operational risk, compliance, model risk, IT governance, audit, data governance, responsible AI, or a related control function.
• Experience designing or administering governance structures, policies, risk-assessment methodologies, control frameworks, issue-management processes, and executive reporting in a regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of generative AI, AI agents, training and inference, model inputs and outputs, grounding, hallucination, explainability, human oversight, data lineage, model drift, and monitoring.
• Ability to translate technical and risk concepts into clear governance requirements, provide independent challenge, make risk-based recommendations, and escalate issues.
• Must work from within the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in residential mortgage lending, mortgage servicing or subservicing, financial services, or another highly regulated consumer-finance environment.
• Experience applying AI, model-risk, technology-risk, data-governance, privacy, or related risk-management frameworks.
