Electrical Engineer II (Robotics)

Location: Pasadena, California, United States; onsite role

Base salary: $100,800–$126,000 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $110,875–$143,625 USD annually.

What you will do

• Develop and test avionics hardware for robotic systems and space programs.
• Own electronic ground support equipment from requirements definition through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Perform circuit, stress, and worst-case analyses using SPICE and Excel.
• Execute PCBA design verification and system integration testing.
• Support production manufacturing and gain experience with robotics, motor control, FPGA, and microcontroller applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Strong background in analog electronics design.
• Proficiency with SPICE, Excel, and electronic laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, and soldering irons.
• Experience with FPGA and microcontroller design in a professional or academic environment.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR and related work-authorization requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for space environments, radiation effects, and high-reliability aerospace applications.
• Experience with board bring-up, debugging, design verification test plans, and test execution.
• Experience designing rigid-flex PCBs and electromechanical systems.
