Registered Nurse-OR Part Time Days

What you will do

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify nursing diagnoses, establish measurable care goals, and update care plans.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, including discharge planning and referrals.
• Provide patient and family education on medications, treatment plans, patient-portal use, and available resources.
• Administer medications safely, complete clinical documentation, conduct bedside handoffs, and use electronic medical record and monitoring systems.
• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes by helping prevent falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and central line infections.
• Lead and support patient care technicians, precept new staff, coordinate unit care when assigned, and participate in quality-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; an ADN is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and analytical skills.
• Ability to follow the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, organizational policies, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• Ability to work on-site in Grayslake, Illinois, during a part-time day shift.
