Registered Nurse, Occupational Health - PRN

Location: Onsite at the Health Center in Liberty, North Carolina, United States. Both day and night shifts are needed.

What you will do

• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within the scope of practice.
• Provide evidence-based care to injured workers and support return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, physical evaluations, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care while maintaining accurate patient records and infection-control standards.
• Coordinate case management with third-party administrators, clients, healthcare professionals, and internal departments.
• Support workplace safety initiatives, accident investigations, health education, and injury-prevention programs.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• At least three years of RN experience in occupational health, emergency care, or ambulatory care.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope.
• Experience with workplace hazards, health screenings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work exams.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health, such as COHN or COHN-S.
• Emergency Nursing or Case Management certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
