What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care to adult psychiatric patients in Pratt 2, a 20-bed locked unit.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care from admission through discharge.
• Care for patients with psychiatric diagnoses including schizophrenia, mood disorders, eating disorders, depression, dementia, delirium, and conversion disorders.
• Manage patients who may also have acute or chronic medical co-morbidities.
• Advocate for patients and families while coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Apply current healthcare practices, evidence-based care, quality standards, and patient-safety principles.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Professional nursing knowledge and ability to deliver and manage patient-centered care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare providers.

Nice to have
