Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Multi-Craft

Location: Cottage Grove, Minnesota, United States; onsite

Salary: $50.03 per hour starting rate, with potential to reach $51.03 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and adjust mechanical equipment, piping systems, fixtures, and industrial processing systems.
• Perform maintenance and repair tasks in response to shop work orders while following safety requirements.
• Implement and improve preventive maintenance procedures.
• Determine the parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance work.
• Document work activities in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Continue learning and expanding multi-craft mechanical skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year associate degree in mechanical maintenance or graduation from an approved apprenticeship program.
• Five years of experience in mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial processing equipment.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• May be required to meet U.S. export control and U.S. person status requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting processing equipment and implementing repairs.
• At least one year of experience operating basic machining equipment, including turning, milling, or welding.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment, mechanical and hydraulic power transmission components, and measurement instruments.
• Effective communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
