Maintenance Mechanic III - KR (Bindery/Press)

Location: St Charles, Illinois, United States; on-site production and manufacturing role on the 1st shift.

Salary: $29.30–$43.50 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment and respond to equipment errors or failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair and maintain die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, and bindery equipment.
• Manufacture or reproduce replacement parts using welders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and other machine-shop equipment.
• Train employees in new processes and lean methodologies.

Requirements

• Bindery and press experience is required.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of machine controls and the ability to distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic failures.
• Ability to perform precise alignment, parallelism, concentricity, pressure, and flow measurements.
• Ability to interpret multiview drawings, wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and other technical documentation.
• Knowledge of construction, assembly, geometry, shop mathematics, and replacement-part manufacturing.
