Clinical Assistant II Per Diem

Salary: $50,000.00–$62,853.73 per year

What you will do

• Provide direct patient care by recording vital signs, pain screens, heights, weights, and patient conditions in the EMR.
• Collect, label, and transport patient specimens while instructing patients and families on collection procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs as applicable and assist nursing and medical staff with clinical procedures.
• Support clinic operations by transporting patients and materials, preparing medical records, and maintaining supplies and equipment.
• Communicate wait times, patient concerns, status changes, and care needs to patients, families, providers, and colleagues.
• Follow patient safety, privacy, confidentiality, HIPAA, emergency response, and Institute policy requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• Two years of equivalent experience in a medical setting required; nursing students with at least two completed clinical rotations may be considered.
• Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, technical, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy clinical setting with patients of all ages and complex needs.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be preferred depending on the work location.
