PRN Medical Assistant (Primary Care)

Location: Health Center Float; onsite health center role

Salary: $21.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on geographic location, experience, and skill level

What you will do

• Support primary care physicians and deliver an attentive patient experience.
• Room patients, clean and stock exam rooms, review medical information, and collect updated health data.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Schedule patients, manage check-in and check-out, process medical record requests, coordinate referrals, and document care.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients according to provider instructions.
• Participate in patient outreach and maintain clinical and office supplies.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
