Medical Assistant, Certified - Tewksbury Family Health

Location: Tewksbury Family Health, 1574 Main Street, Suite 200, Tewksbury, Massachusetts 01876. Full-time, onsite role with a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. May require coverage at satellite locations.

Pay range: $23.00–$26.91 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Manage patient flow, room utilization, delays, provider availability, and clinic resources.
• Prepare patients, medical records, exam rooms, supplies, and equipment for visits.
• Record vital signs, pain levels, medication information, patient histories, and other clinical data.
• Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, procedures, immunizations, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Process referrals, prior authorizations, diagnostic testing, surgical arrangements, billing documentation, and electronic medical record paperwork.
• Provide administrative support, including telephone coverage, message taking, interpreter coordination, supply management, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation from AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
• Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within three months.
• Less than two years of Medical Assistant experience accepted.
• Ability to work onsite in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, during the specified Monday–Friday schedule.
• Ability to read, write, and spell in English for accurate documentation and communication.

Nice to have

• Two years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, including EPIC.
