Engineering Intern (Electrical Engineering)

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide technical support to Engineering Services staff and customers.
• Perform testing on new and existing electrical power-system technologies.
• Learn power system protection through simulations and practical testing.
• Document and communicate test results.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL processes and technologies.
• Apply SEL values, operating principles, and manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with one to two years of engineering education completed.
• Available to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.
• Strong understanding of electric circuit fundamentals, digital logic, and AC power systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications.
• Practical knowledge of protective relays and automation controllers.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
