Intern Engineering (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Sussex, Wisconsin, USA; full-time onsite role. Full-time summer availability is required for a 40-hour week, with potential part-time continuation during the academic year. Travel to other hirify.global facilities may be required.

What you will do

• Support the design, validation, and commercialization of new products.
• Develop electrical architectures, control systems, embedded software, or power electronics solutions depending on project assignment.
• Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, material specifications, and bills of materials.
• Design, execute, and evaluate product testing, fitness-for-use testing, and process validation plans.
• Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, risk, safety, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, product specialists, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts and ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
• Experience with programming languages that communicate with electronic hardware.
• Clear and succinct oral and written communication skills.
• Availability to work full-time during the summer for 40 hours per week.
