Risk Manager (Healthcare)

Location: 100% remote, with an option to work onsite; Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with rotating nights, weekends, and holiday on-call coverage.

Salary: $101,084.26–$128,878.21 per year based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and coordinate organizational risk management activities, including risk identification, evaluation, treatment, and mitigation.
• Investigate adverse outcomes, patient harm events, complaints, grievances, and significant deviations from standard procedures.
• Lead safety event huddles, root cause analyses, harm analyses, and the design of corrective actions with clinical and administrative leaders.
• Analyze adverse-event, claims, and hospital risk data to identify high-risk activities, departments, and procedures.
• Prepare reports, statistics, graphic presentations, regulatory submissions, and corrective action plans.
• Advise clinical and administrative staff on clinical, regulatory, legal, insurance, ethical, and patient safety matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, regulatory affairs, compliance, nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• At least five years of clinical or risk management experience.
• Ability to analyze information, investigate safety events, solve problems, manage multiple priorities, and communicate findings clearly.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement, patient safety, risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Ability to provide risk management services during after-hours, weekends, and holidays through a rotating on-call schedule.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification.
• Seven years of clinical or risk management experience.
