AVP Compensation (Financial Services)

Salary: $109,180.00–$181,898.00 per year

What you will do

• Own compensation strategy and delivery for assigned business areas and portfolios.
• Advise business leaders and People Business Partners on complex compensation decisions.
• Design and govern job architecture, career levels, salary structures, pay positioning, and incentive frameworks.
• Lead market pricing, benchmarking, annual merit and incentive processes, and program evaluations.
• Analyze compensation, workforce, and financial data to identify trends, risks, costs, and opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional implementation with HR Operations, HR Technology, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of progressive compensation experience.
• Advanced expertise in broad-based compensation, market pricing, salary structures, incentive design, job evaluation, governance, and pay decision support.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, written communication, and executive advisory skills.
• Experience leading complex priorities and cross-functional execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Certified Compensation Professional designation completed or in progress.
• Experience with Workday and compensation market-pricing platforms such as MarketPay.
• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with compensation integration, job architecture, or enterprise transformation.
