Linux System Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Support a mission-critical enterprise identity and access management environment across development and operations.
• Assist Tier II personnel with customer-facing issues, diagnose access problems, and perform root cause analysis and mitigation.
• Review user metrics, system health, and performance while implementing proactive measures to maintain operational availability.
• Develop scripts and use playbook-based automation for operational tasks.
• Manage COTS and GOTS software products across multiple environments and ensure compliance with enterprise security services.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, development teams, and external technical teams to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph within the customer's timeline after hire.
• Current Security+ certification is required before starting.
• Linux system administration, infrastructure management, and OSI Layer 4–7 network troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with AWS, including S3 Buckets, EC2, and Reserved Instances, plus systems engineering documentation and Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Nice to have

• Identity federation, single sign-on, and authorization technologies including SAML, OIDC, OAuth, Kerberos, and smart cards/CACs.
• Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Unified Directory, Oracle WebLogic, LDAP, Kubernetes, Bash, and Python.
• ELK stack, cloud architectures beyond AWS, cross-domain architectures, automated testing, and monitoring.
• Experience with Engineering Review Boards and change management processes.
