Analyst - Cost Accounting (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States. Onsite role supporting hirify.global Motor Manufacturing Texas. Candidates must have the right to work in the United States and must not require current or future immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead inventory activities, including physical inventories, monthly cycle counts, outlier investigations, and book-to-physical reconciliations.
• Analyze direct raw material usage and costs for Assembly, Plastics, and Bodyweld/Machining shops.
• Prepare and present MUV reports, inventory trends, days-of-supply reports, and other month-end reporting.
• Create and maintain bills of materials, validate cost changes, and support SOX-compliant inventory and costing processes.
• Support month-end close through material movements, journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory validations.
• Coordinate General Stores audits, physical inventory activities, auditor requests, and cross-functional operational projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent analytical field.
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience, including cost and usage variance analysis.
• Experience supporting monthly close processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for managing and analyzing large datasets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring deadlines, detailed schedules, and cross-functional deliverables.
• Ability to present findings and recommendations to management, including executives.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP financial and materials modules.
• Experience creating Power BI reports and working with bills of materials.
• Automotive manufacturing accounting and finance experience.
• Experience organizing and reconciling physical inventories.
• Experience with JKK and TBP.
