Maintenance Mechanic & Technician (CNC)

Location: 4930 Kraft Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI, USA. Third-shift schedule: 10:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Pay starts at $30.62 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy wood-processing equipment, including Homag saws, CNC machines, and edge banding equipment.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues that may affect production quality or schedules.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance procedures for machinery and building systems.
• Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance records, and project files.
• Handle facility systems including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating, and cooling.
• Maintain compliance with local building and fire codes and requisition required parts and supplies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance-related roles involving heavy CNC-style machinery.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to troubleshoot and use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and work safely around machinery.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, access awkward spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
