Mobile Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Austin, Texas, USA. On-site work with regular travel between properties and possible shift, on-call, and emergency assignments.

Salary: $34.85–$41.00 per hour

What you will do

• Operate, maintain, and repair commercial building HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and water systems.
• Maintain chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers, compressors, air distribution equipment, generators, and related infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, energy management, and required adjustments or repairs.
• Inspect emergency exits, fire and life-safety systems, electrical rooms, mechanical rooms, and building equipment.
• Respond to equipment failures, fires, evacuations, customer concerns, and other emergency situations.
• Document completed work and report activities to supervisors while following safety standards, codes, and company procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; apprenticeship or trade school experience is preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.
• Knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance, repair, and energy management systems.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record; applicable trade licenses, permits, or certifications may be required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb, stoop, work outdoors between properties, and read technical drawings and schematics.
