Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role; must live within 100 miles of Lexington, MA, United States. Onsite work is required for classified project needs and hardware testing.

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, characterize, and technically support electronic systems hardware, with an emphasis on power control and conversion.
• Design circuitry and schematics using Mentor Graphics tools, complete board layouts, select parts, and produce technical documentation.
• Develop optoelectronic circuits, including low-noise quadrant detector transimpedance amplifiers and laser diode pulse power drive circuits of 30 W or greater.
• Design power conversion and distribution systems for 28 VDC avionics applications and piezoelectric actuator drive circuitry.
• Define circuit requirements and implement program deliverables in collaboration with a small technical team.
• Perform hardware testing using oscilloscopes, signal and function generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, meters, frequency counters, power supplies, and data acquisition equipment.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• At least 13 years of experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
• Experience with analog, digital, and power electronics; circuit architectures and algorithms; device layout; reconfigurable circuits; and new circuit characterization, qualification, and debugging.
• Experience with SPICE modeling, circuit board design, schematic entry, board layout, parts selection, debugging, and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Embedded systems development using C or assembly language for hard real-time single-board computer applications.
• Experience with PSpice or similar circuit simulation tools.
