Certified Payroll Specialist (Prevailing Wage)

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports such as WH-347 to clients, government agencies, and other required entities.
• Process and audit weekly payroll for employees working on prevailing wage projects.
• Research payroll inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and answer questions about pay, deductions, and time-off accruals.
• Review payroll transactions, employee data updates, and exception reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain process documentation, prepare management reports, and support audit activities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience managing prevailing wage payroll and certified payroll reporting is mandatory.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Experience with payroll or HCM systems, such as Workday, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Power BI and AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Knowledge of tax regulations, labor laws, payroll compliance, communication, and customer service.
