Specialist - Premium Payables (Insurance)

What you will do

• Act as the primary onshore escalation point for operations staff and offshore delivery teams, resolving complex issues and discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of carrier invoices and payments while maintaining service-level quality.
• Analyze recurring issues, improve processes, coordinate best practices, and support training and documentation.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
• Identify financial risks, propose solutions, and collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Growth, and Business Process Owner teams.
• Participate in quality audits, special projects, and user acceptance testing for system and process changes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Premium Payables operations and insurance accounting processes.
• 3–5+ years of experience in insurance accounting with Premium Payables required.
• Proficiency with Applied Epic, agency management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, automation, or other process improvement methodologies.
