Senior Accountant

Location: United States - New York. Hybrid work with expected office attendance at least three days per week and mandatory Hub Days on Wednesdays.

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly payroll journal entries for U.S. and international entities.
• Manage reconciliations for payroll-related accounts, including accrued vacation, bonuses, and severance.
• Own ASC 606 commission accounting, including capitalization, amortization, and impairment analysis.
• Record accounting entries and perform reconciliations for internally developed software costs under U.S. GAAP.
• Support external auditors with documentation for payroll, commissions, and other key accounts.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives using AI and technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus.
• At least five years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or SaaS company with private and public company experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proficiency with HRIS, commission, and accounting software such as NetSuite, CIQ, and ADP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience using AI for accounting tasks and responsibilities.
