Project Engineer | Field Engineer (Dual Role, Construction)

Location: On-site in Rochester, Minnesota, with office and field responsibilities across active construction sites and off-site prefabrication facilities.

Preferred salary: $70,000–$85,000 annually, adjustable based on experience.

What you will do

• Support project planning, scheduling, coordination, resource management, budget tracking, and cost management.
• Review and coordinate construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project execution and field implementation.
• Conduct regular site visits and monitor field progress, workmanship, quality, safety, and schedule.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, field teams, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and coordination problems, and communicate them proactively.

Requirements

• Ability to work on-site in Rochester, Minnesota.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• Experience in Project Engineering, Field Engineering, Construction, or a related role preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Understanding of construction quality and safety requirements.
• Strong planning, coordination, organization, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
